AvaVoice

Our self-advocacy rebranded as “AvaVoice” and began meeting monthly at local libraries. Members voted and appointed Amy E as President, and Denise F as Secretary. The leadership team then conducted interviews and hired a DSP self-advocacy supervisor. AvaVoice hosted guest speakers from RICC Speaker’s Bureau and Advocates in Action. Members also toured the RI Statehouse and met Governor McKee.
