History.

Avatar was founded in 1992 to assist in the deinstitutionalization of individuals with developmental disabilities. Twenty-one of our original twenty-nine participants lived in institutions. Our commitment to them and all the people we support residentially is to assure that home is a place of comfort, security, serenity and freedom.
